Hi kitties, Sabeen Marie here. I wanted to share some things with you I have learned. Being a street kitty I never learned how to play properly. Unfortunately, Momma is always around when I try something new. She gets great enjoyment from my little attempts at what new game I’ve discovered. Make sure when you try something new your humans are not around. If you have a d*g in the house make sure it's not around either…d*gs tend to tattle about what you’ve been doing. Not to mention there is nothing more humiliating than a d*g snickering at you for days. They may not be very smart but they do remember when we, the greater species, has had a little faux paw.
Always start off play time with a nice long cat nap. Being well rested is very important before playing. Taking a stretch too will help you play to your fullest abilities.
Be sure to identify your prey very carefully. Make sure you have it in your sites before proceeding.
You should get a good look at it from different angles. Move slowly and carefully so as not to scare it away.
When you are ready POUNCE!
Ahem. Maybe I should mention that if your prey happens to be your own tail, it might hurt. Be careful not to fall if you happen to be high up on your kitty tree.
Last but not least, if you should get caught making a faux paw, take another nap. Look placid and never let them see you sweat!
